When setting up Vendors, you can link these to Warehouses, so they display and operate under their orbit.
To do so, the Warehouse and Vendor can be created prior to the process, or on the fly.

If you will create them on the fly, this document will detail the process.
This article describes the steps and fields involved in the process.


To create a Vendor you will have to:
1. Click Warehouse-Vendor under System Settings
2. Click Create to deploy the fields for creation

3. Complete the fields accordingly
- Code: This value will automatically generate based on the name
- Warehouse
- If the Warehouse has already been created, select the warehouse name from dropdown list
- If the Warehouse has not been created yet, follow the Create Warehouse on the fly section below
- Vendor
- If the Vendor has already been created, select the vendor name from dropdown list
- If the Vendor has not been created yet, follow the Create Vendor on the fly section below
4. Press Save to apply the changes
CREATE WAREHOUSE ON THE FLY
To create a Warehouse on the fly, as part of Step 3 of the main process, you will have to:
1. Click the Add button in the Warehouse field
2. Complete the fields accordingly
- Name: Complete the Warehouse name
- Code: This value will generate automatically based on the name
- Role: Select the role associated to this vendor from the dropdown list, or click the Add button to add one on the fly
- Address: Press the Edit button and complete the fields in the pop-up to
- API Key: This value will generate automatically
- Timezone: Select the timezone associated for this vendor from the dropdown list
- Subscription ID (Optional): Complete for information tracking purposes if required
- Subscription settings (Optional): Click to edit and set the Sales and Purchase Order Fee ID when applicable
3. Press Save to apply the changes
4. Continue in the main process' Step 3 to complete linking the Warehouse with the Vendor
CREATE VENDOR ON THE FLY
To create a Vendor on the fly, as part of Step 3 of the main process, you will have to:
1. Click the Add button in the Vendor field
2. Complete the fields accordingly
- Name: Complete Vendor name
- Code: This value will automatically generate based on the name
- Role: Select the role associated to this vendor from the dropdown list, or press the add button to add one on the fly
- API Key: This value will automatically generate
- Timezone: Select the timezone associated for this vendor from the dropdown list
- Settings: Edit to select the basic elements which will automatically update; define the elements available in this stage, and then configure the details as described here: How to configure Automated Recurring Jobs for Sales/Fulfillment channels [Step-by-step guide]
- Subscription ID (Optional): Complete for information tracking purposes if required
- Subscription settings (Optional): Click to edit and set the Sales and Purchase Order Plan Price Point ID when applicable
3. Press Save to apply the changes
4. Continue in the main process' Step 3 to complete linking the Warehouse with the Vendor
