Onboarding Requirements


Before configuring An Post in techSHIP, you must gather the connection credential and confirm the minimum shipment data required by the carrier.


Information to be Provided


The following items must be available before starting the setup:

     

DATA ELEMENTSOURCE (HOW TO OBTAIN)
Access KeyProvided for the carrier connection and entered in the Baseline Account
Ship-from Required DataName, Address1, City, PostalCode, and Country
Ship-to Required Data
Name, Address1, City, PostalCode, and Country

   

Settings to be Verified


The following configurations must be completed before shipments can be processed:

For international shipments, An Post generates a Customs Declaration in addition to the shipping label. Label References are supported for this carrier. BOL does not apply to this carrier.

Operational Constraints


This section details specific operational rules and limitations imposed by An Post. These constraints are enforced by the carrier and must be considered when planning your shipping workflow:

  • An Post does not provide a rate API.
  • Rates must be maintained using predefined rate tables configured in techSHIP.
  • Rate Shopping is not available for this carrier.
  • Customs Declaration documentation is generated only for international shipments.
