Getting Started: IntegratedFlow additional configuration [Step-by-Step guide]

Modified on Wed, 31 Jul at 4:48 PM

As you begin configuring and using your techOMS portal, if you use IntegratedFlow connections you will have to configure specific elements in different phases, in conjunction with Techdinamics' IntegratedFlow Specialists.

This article reviews these points and how these should be checked and/or set, in the following distinctive sections:

  • Warehouse Setup
  • IntegratedFlow Warehouse Setup under the Account
  • Sales Channel Setup
  • IntegratedFlow Developer Setup and techOMS updates

WAREHOUSE SETUP

As part of the setup, there are parameters that need to be set up pre-emptively unless already provided by Techdinamics' Staff.

Follow the instructions of the guide How to Add Warehouses to an Organization [Step-by-step guide], considering the following:

  • Name: Name of the Warehouse, to identify it when displayed in lists
  • Code: Warehouse Code for the system to reference it; this code must match the Canonical code in IntegratedFlow

WARNING: If you haven't been provided with one or agreed on a specific value, complete with the value TBD

  • Address: Click the Edit button to deploy the fields and define the Warehouse address
  • Time Zone: Select the Warehouse time zone from the dropdown
  • Application: Select IntegratedFlow as the Warehouse system type
  • ApplicationWarehouse ID: Set the Warehouse ID (Warehouse as the techOMS entity, External as the Identifier on the WMS end) to bind both ends

INTEGRATEDFLOW WAREHOUSE SETUP UNDER THE ACCOUNT

Once the Warehouse has been set up, it need to be configured under the Account.

NOTE
: Make sure that you are operating at the right Vendor/Warehouse beforehand.

1. Select Organizations

2. Edit the Organization related to the case

3. Press Edit on the Account under which you will configure the connection

4. Switch to the Warehouses tab

5. Check Enabled to activate the connection

6. Check Show WMS Credentials to deploy the fields for parameters configuration

7. Define the fields accordingly, taking into account that:

  • Sender: Sender Code of the IntegratedFlow integration; If you still don't have or haven't received a specific value, use TBD temporarily
  • Receiver: Receiver Code of the IntegratedFlow integration; If you still don't have or haven't received a specific value, use TBD temporarily
  • Customer ID: Complete with the Customer ID according to the IntegratedFlow integration
  • Environment: Set as DEV while testing is being performed; you will have to switch it to PROD once ready to go live

8. Press Save to apply the changes

NOTE: These parameters will need to be updated once the Techdinamics Integrators configure their IntegratedFlow side.

SALES CHANNEL SETUP

To create the IntegratedFlow Sales Channel, you will have to follow the regular setup process, but also configure a few additional elements related to the IntegratedFlow connection compared to others.

Follow the steps in the How to set up an IntegratedFlow Sales Channel [Step-by-step guide] article.

Once ready, return here to move forward.

INTEGRATEDFLOW DEVELOPER SETUP AND TECHOMS UPDATES

This last phase will involve three actors:

  • techOMS Admin: You, configuring your techOMS environment
  • techOMS Specialist: Person in charge of requesting/providing you with credentials and values
  • IntegratedFlow Specialist: Developer in charge of the IntegratedFlow mapping and settings

Once both the Fulfillment and Sales Channels had been set up with these dummy values (TBD/TBD), inform your assigned techOMS Specialist of the setup completion, in order to Techdinamics to move forward on the integration side.

The techOMS Specialist will provide the IntegratedFlow Specialist with channel API keys.

The keys to be provided are the following:

  • Sales Channel API Keys
  • Fulfillment Channel API Keys

The IntegratedFlow Specialist will provide the following to the techOMS Specialist, who will provide it to you to complete the setup by replacing the TBD placeholders with the effective production values.

  • Sales Channel Sender
  • Sales Channel Receiver
  • Fulfillment Channel Sender
  • Fulfillment Channel Receiver
  • Warehouse Code to be used at the Organization level, matching with the IntegratedFlow Canonical Code

These values are required for proper messaging exchange between systems.

The Sender and Receiver fields determine how the documents are sent to IntegratedFlow and their content, used for internal file routing and visible as files on IntegratedFlow's end.

The Customer ID determines how the Vendor is set up in the WMS.

After replacing all the TBD placeholders, change modes from DEV to PROD once ready to go live.
