How to Manage Warehouse Mappings [Step-by-Step guide]

When setting up a Sales Channel connection, you can map your internal techOMS physical or virtual warehouses to your external channel's warehouse entities. These mappings ensure accurate order routing and allow you to synchronize aggregated inventory to specific external locations.


This guide covers how to add or remove warehouse mappings for your sales channels.

 

 
NoteFor supported Sales Channels, techOMS uses these mappings to filter incoming sales orders and target inventory synchronization updates exclusively to the mapped warehouses. For a complete list of supported channels and their capabilities, refer to the techOMS Sales Channels - Master List [Guides List]. 
 

 

 
NoteMake sure that you are operating at the correct Account from the top header before proceeding.

 
 

 

Step 1Click Channels under the Sales Channels section on the left navigation menu.

 

Step 2Click the Name of the channel to access its configuration setup.

 


Step 3Select the Warehouse Mappings tab.

 

Step 4Click the action button on the right side of the screen corresponding to the process you want to perform:
  • Add: Adds a new, empty warehouse mapping row.
  • Delete: Removes the warehouse mapping entirely.

 

Step 5Select the techOMS Warehouse entity from the dropdown menu.

 

 
NoteYou can select either a physical warehouse or a virtual warehouse from this dropdown. Mapping a virtual warehouse allows you to pass the aggregated inventory of multiple physical locations as a single, unified entity to an external channel. Step 6Select the External Warehouse to associate with the internal techOMS warehouse selected in the previous step.

 

Step 7Press Save to apply the changes.

 


The warehouse mappings are now active, and techOMS will use them to route orders and synchronize inventory accordingly.
