When handling Bill of Ladings you can create these from Crossdock.
Creating a complete BOL requires previous steps, like scanning and palletizing cartons.
This article describes the steps and fields involved in the process of creating the BOL.
To do so you will have to:
1. Click Outbound Bill of Ladings
2. Click Create to access the view for creation
3. Complete the Main section accordingly; non-detailed fields in the list below are not required:
- BOL Number: Completed automatically by the system if available, or complete manually with the value as you need it
- BOL Date: Leave as is (current date) or edit if needed
- Master BOL Number: Complete manually with the value as you need it
- Carrier: Select the Carrier from the dropdown list
- Freight Cost: Indicate the shipping cost
4. Complete the Appointment section accordingly; non-detailed fields in the list below are not required:
- Appointment Date: Leave as is (tomorrow from the current date) or edit if needed
- Status: Leave as is (scheduled) or edit if needed
- Shipping Date: Leave as is (current date) or edit if needed
- Carrier: Select the Carrier from the dropdown list
- Freight Cost: Indicate the shipping cost
5. Press Save to apply the changes, which will enable the Pallets section
6. Press Edit Pallet List to open the Pallets view and add the related pallets if needed
Once ready, press Save again if changes were done.
