You can trace changes made to specific entities within techSHIP using their audit logs. This tool is essential for troubleshooting, tracking actions, and analyzing workflows.

A. HOW AUDIT LOGS WORK
The Audit tab is available for each of the supported entities listed in the next sections. It tracks all changes made to a record's properties, displaying both their previous and updated values.
WARNING: Changes to checkboxes are always logged. However, if the value is false (the default value), it will be omitted from the set of settings in the log.
This content is divided into the following sections:
A. Record Properties
It displays the main record properties such as:
- Created By: The user who first created the current record.
- Modified By: The user who last modified the current record.
- Created On: The date and time when the current record was created.
- Modified On: The date and time when the current record was last modified.
B. Logs Table
Every time a change is made to any of the record's properties, it is logged and displayed in this table. Each entry is organized into the following columns:
- Entity: The property that was modified.
- Action: The action performed that triggered this log entry.
- Change: Previous (old) and current (new) property value.
- User: User who modified the property.
- Date: Date and time at which this property was modified.
NOTE: You can click on the Date column header to sort by ascending or descending order.
C. Quick Search Bar and Filter
It allows you to filter the logs table using the following controls:
- Search Bar: Instantly search for entries matching any value in the following columns:
- Entity
- Action
- Change
- User
- Advanced Filter: Opens a pop-up that allows you to apply precise filters to the log entries, using:
- Date From (inclusive): Filter entries from this date onward.
- Date to (inclusive): Filter entries up to this date.
NOTE: You can set one or both date filters.

B. WHERE TO FIND THE AUDIT TAB
You can find the Audit tab for each supported entity as listed in the following section.


WARNING: To access the Audit tab, you must have administrator permissions for that specific entity.
C. HOW TO VIEW LOGS FOR SPECIFIC ENTITIES
a. For Carriers
1. Click My Carriers from the left menu under the Carriers section.
2. Click the Settings icon for the desired carrier.
3. Click the Audit tab.
You can now review audit logs for that specific carrier.
WARNING: Carrier custom rates (Rates tab records) are not logged.
b. For Carrier Baseline Accounts
1. Click My Carriers from the left menu under the Carriers section.
2. Click the Settings icon for the desired carrier.
3. Click the Edit icon for the desired baseline account.
4. Click the Audit tab.
You can now review audit logs for that specific baseline account.
c. For Clients
1. Click My Clients from the left menu under the Clients section.
2. Click the Settings icon for the desired client.
3. Click the Audit tab.
You can now review audit logs for that specific client.
d. For Client Billing Accounts
1. Click My Clients from the left menu under the Clients section.
2. Click the Settings icon for the desired client.
3. Click Edit for the desired billing account.
4. Click the Audit tab.
You can now review audit logs for that specific billing account.
e. For Insurance Providers
1. Click Insurance Providers from the left menu under the Maintenance section.
2. Click the Settings icon for the desired insurance provider.
3. Click the Audit tab.
You can now review audit logs for that specific insurance provider.
f. For Insurance Accounts
1. Click Insurance Providers from the left menu under the Maintenance section.
2. Click the Settings icon for the desired insurance provider.
3. Click Edit for the desired insurance account.
4. Click the Audit tab.
You can now review audit logs for that specific insurance account.
