This guide explains how to add and configure a FedEx - Nautical Baseline Account.
A Baseline Carrier Account defines the default configuration required for the platform to communicate with the carrier and generate shipping labels. This setup is required before adding Client (Billing) Accounts and enabling shipping operations for this carrier.

Prerequisites
Before adding the Baseline Account, ensure the following prerequisites are completed:
- FedEx - Nautical Onboarding Requirements and Configuration Guides [Information].
- Follow the configuration steps as described in How to Add a Carrier Baseline Account [Step-by-Step guide] using the values provided below.
Carrier-Specific Instructions
Carrier Tab
The Carrier tab contains the Baseline configuration used to identify the Carrier account and define its operational behavior. Fields in this view are grouped visually to distinguish mandatory (red-highlighted items) and optional (blue-highlighted items) carrier-specific settings.

![]() | Name: Enter the internal name that will identify this Baseline account in techSHIP. |
![]() | Usage mode: Set this field to Production to enable the live connection for this carrier. |
![]() | Status: Set this field to Active so the Baseline account can be used during carrier setup. |
![]() | SCAC: Enter the carrier or SCAC code used by your WMS for this connection. |
![]() | Label mode: Set this field to ZPL. |
![]() | Region code: Select the target portal datacenter from the dropdown, or leave as [Same region] if both portals use the same region. |
![]() | Api Key: Enter the target portal client API access key used to authenticate the connection. |
![]() | Secret Key: Enter the target portal client API secret key paired with the API key. |
![]() | Client code: Enter the target portal client code associated with the connection. |
![]() | Sender address information: Enter the warehouse induction address used as the sender address for this connection. |

Set Mode to one of the following values: [ZPL, PDF, PNG].
