How to set up a GDN (Global Delivery Network) Baseline account [Step-by-Step guide]

When setting up a GDN Carrier account, you will have to: 


NOTE: This article describes how to set up the Carrier baseline account.
If the Carrier baseline account has already been set up and you intend to add a new Billing Account, refer to: How to add and set up a GDN (Global Delivery Network) Billing Account [Step-by-Step guide]




CARRIER SECTION


1. Access Maintenance and select Carriers


2. Click the Carrier for which you'll add the account to from the list


3. Click the Accounts tab


4. Click Add Account



5. In General Options set:

  1. Name -> GDN - [Account number] (e.g. GDN - 500000) 
  2. Usage mode -> Production
  3. Status -> Active
  4. Label mode -> ZPL/PDF (PDF if Convert ZPL to PDF is turned on)
  5. SCAC -> Carrier/SCAC code you're using in the WMS 



6. In Carrier Options set and Save:

  1. API Key -> GDN API Access Key
  2. Account Number-> GDN Account Number associated with the API key
  3. Pickup Open/Close time -> Specify the pickup open and close time of the warehouse
  4. Pickup ready hours -> Amount of hours it will take you to be ready from your open time
  5. Same day cut-over time -> Time limit for same day orders
  6. Same day deliver by time -> Time limit for same day order delivery
  7. Next day deliver by time -> Time limit for next day orders
  8. Weekends Mode (when closed)
    - Ignore weekends: Weekend days are considered like any other week day
    - Saturday and Sunday: Saturday and Sunday are blocked from operation
    - Sunday: Sunday is blocked from operation, while Saturday is considered like any other week day
  9. Sender address info -> Warehouse induction address
