How to Override WMS Item Weights/Dimensions [Step-by-Step Guide]

You can override the weight and/or dimensions of imported items from your Warehouse Management System (WMS) with the values you have defined in techSHIP for each Stock Keeping Unit (SKU).

This feature allows you to manually adjust item details when the WMS data is incomplete or inaccurate, ensuring accurate cartonization.

WARNING: Before proceeding, ensure you are familiar with handling items within techSHIP and that the defined SKUs match the imported ones. This feature is only available for supported WMS.

To override WMS item weights and/or dimensions:

1. Find the desired client by clicking on My Clients from the left menu under the Clients section.

2. Edit the desired client by clicking the Settings button.

3. Click Details tab.

4. Check the desired fields:

Override WMS Items Weight: Replace WMS item weights with techSHIP values.
Override WMS Items Dimensions: Replace WMS item dimensions with techSHIP values.

5. Press Save.

The selected item properties from the WMS are now overridden with techSHIP values.
