How to set up Warehouses and Fulfillment Channels for an Account [Step-by-step guide]

When configuring your techOMS Portal, you will have to set up Warehouses for an Account, which will also create a Fulfillment Channel.


NOTE: The Warehouse must be configured at the organizational level before it can be enabled for an account, as described in How to Add Warehouses to an Organization [Step-by-step guide].


This is a two-phase procedure:

  1. Set up the Warehouse
  2. Set up the Fulfillment Channel



A. SET UP THE WAREHOUSE


 

NOTE: Make sure no Account is selected in the header switcher. If one is selected, click the clear icon to deselect it.
 
 

 

To set up a Warehouse:


1. Click Organizations from the left menu under the System Configuration section.


2. Press Edit for the desired Organization.



3. Press Edit for the desired Account.



4. Click the Warehouses tab.


5. Check Enabled for the desired warehouse.


You can continue as follows:

  • If you are setting up a beta Fulfillment Channel, go to step 8.
  • If you are setting up a stable Fulfillment Channel, go to step 6.


To check if your Fulfillment Channel is stable or beta, refer to techOMS Fulfillment Channels - Master List [Guides List].


NOTE: Steps 5 and 6 apply only to stable Fulfillment Channels. Beta Fulfillment Channels do not have these options here.


6. Check Show WMS Credentials.


7. Enter your WMS credentials.


8. Press Save.




B. SET UP THE FULFILLMENT CHANNEL



With the Warehouse configured, the Fulfillment Channel is now ready. Refer to the corresponding article to continue with its setup:
