When processing an order, you might come across the “Error 2502 - This shipment was designated as Residential Delivery but qualifies for FedEx Home Delivery. Please mark this shipment with the service 'FedEx Home Delivery' and re-ship” error.



This relates to a FedEx service code issue, which detects that the order in question should be shipped under the “FedEx Home Delivery” service, when it’s trying to be shipped using a different code. The error message is also self explanatory to the solution.

To solve this issue:


NOTE: Make sure your order is not processed to be able to edit it. If it’s already processed, you will have to void it first.


  1. Edit the order related to the issue


  2. Select the Carrier Options tab

  3. Choose Ground Home Delivery under the Service Code Dropdown

  4. Press Save to apply the changes


Once done, you’ll be able to Process or Process & Print the order.
