How to Import/Export Carrier and Service Mappings in a Sales Channel [Step-by-step guide]

Modified on Tue, 15 Apr at 9:49 AM

When handling carrier and service mappings within a sales channel, you might need to import or export them to quickly set up a new channel—saving time and reducing human error.

NOTE: To learn how to map carriers and services, see: How to map Carriers and Services in a Sales Channel [Step-by-step guide]. This article includes useful tips—like how to use wildcard characters to simplify your mappings—that also apply when importing or exporting mappings.

The file format used for these operations is Comma-Separated Values (CSV).

To import or export carrier and service mappings in a sales channel:

1. Select the desired account from the header switcher.

2. Click Channels from the left menu under the Sales Channels section.

3. Click on the sales channel name.

4. Click on the Carrier Mappings tab.

5. Press Maintenance and click on:

  • Import: Upload a CSV file with carrier and service mappings.

NOTE: This process will add new mappings without overwriting the existing ones. To obtain a template, either export an existing mapping or download a canonical file from techOMS Canonical Import Files [Information].

  • Export: Download all current mappings from the sales channel in CSV format.

If you choose Export, a CSV file will be automatically downloaded.

If you choose Import, click the Files field to select your CSV, then press Import.

Once the import completes, a popup message in the top-left corner will display the results
