End-to-end how to create a fully operational Account [Guide]

As you start using techOMS, you will need to set fully operational Accounts.


While the Account entity itself requires a few steps to be created, for all the parts and elements that interact with it to be properly configured and operational, additional effort is required in different parts of the techOMS Portal. The phases are the following:




This article guides you orderly as for these elements are to be created and configured.



ADDING AND EDITING THE ACCOUNT



To create (add) an account and properly configure it, follow the steps of the articles below in an orderly manner:


Once you have done so, users will need to be defined in order for them to access and interact with the account.



ADD USERS TO THE ACCOUNT



To create users and properly set them up, follow the steps of the article below:



ADD CARRIER AND SERVICE MAPPINGS



When setting up your Accounts, you can configure Carrier and Services mappings for them to be available when working with Fulfillment and Sales channels.


To do so, follow the steps of the article below:



CREATE AND SET UP FULFILLMENT AND SALES CHANNELS



As you finish configuring the internal elements of your techOMS Portal, you will begin connecting to external services. Create and set up Fulfillment and Sales Channels following the articles below orderly:



PRODUCT AND INVENTORY SYNCHRONIZATION



Now that you have successfully:

  • Created your Account
  • Setup Sales Channel(s) and Fulfillment Channel(s) under it
  • Created your Carrier Mappings 


You can now synchronize your Product Catalog and Inventory.


First, define your master product source: the system that will act as the single source of truth for products across your ecosystem. Follow these articles in order:


Depending on the master source you selected, proceed as follows:


Once the product catalog is in place, complete your setup by syncing inventory:

 

After completing these steps, you're ready to start using techOMS.
