How to set up a DHL Express (REST) Baseline account [Step-by-Step guide]

When setting up a DHL Express (REST) Carrier account, you will have to: 


NOTE: This article describes how to set up the Carrier baseline account.
If the Carrier baseline account has already been set up and you intend to add a new Billing Account, refer to: How to add and set up a DHL Express (REST) Billing Account [Step-by-Step guide]


NOTE: This integration is of international extent, Asia, US, EU and other regions are supported. 



CARRIER SECTION


1. Access Maintenance and select Carriers


2. Click the Carrier for which you'll add the account to from the list


3. Click the Accounts tab


4. Click Add Account



5. In General Options set:

  1. Name -> DHL Express 
  2. Usage mode -> Production
  3. Status -> Active
  4. Label mode -> ZPL/PDF

    WARNING: If your ZPL label is cut off or the third barcode does not appear, set the Label template field in the Carrier Tab to ECOM26_A6_002.


  5. SCAC -> Carrier/SCAC code you're using in the WMS

6. In Carrier Options set and Save:


REQUIRED

  1. Username -> DHL Express (REST) Username
  2. Password -> DHL Express (REST) Password
  3. Pickup instructions -> Pickup instructions for the carrier
  4. Weekends mode -> Specify the Weekends Mode (Ignore weekends, Saturday and Sunday, Sunday)
    - Ignore weekends: Weekend days are considered like any other week day
    - Saturday and Sunday: Saturday and Sunday are blocked from operation
    - Sunday: Sunday is blocked from operation, while Saturday is considered like any other week day
  5. Printer DPI -> Indicates the Dots-Per-Inch to determine the label print quality
  6. Label template -> Select the label template to use for DHL Express (REST) labels
  7. Sender address info -> Complete the sender address information:
    - Sender name
    - Sender company
    - Address 1
    - Address 2 (if applicable)
    - Address 3 (if applicable)
    - City
    - State/province
    - Zip
    - Country
    - Phone


OPTIONAL

  • Pickup open time -> Warehouse pick up open time
  • Pickup close time -> Warehouse pick up close time
  • Pickup ready hours -> Amount of hours it will take you to be ready from your open time
