How to Import Product Bundles via file [Step-by-step guide]

Modified on Mon, 4 Nov at 3:59 PM

The most effective way to add product Bundles to techOMS manually is to Import.

As best practice, we strongly suggest you download the current Product Bundles as indicated in How to Export Product Bundles as a CSV file [Step-by-step guide] and modify the file to include, remove or update what's needed for the new set.

This article reviews the steps to do so.

NOTE: Make sure that you are operating at the right Vendor/Warehouse beforehand.

WARNING: There is a limit for records importing of 10000 entries by file. Adding more will cause data consistency issues.

NOTE: The file's supported delimiters are comma, semicolon and tabulation, and quotation marks the supported character is ".

WARNING: Take into account that importing a file will overwrite your previous list, removing bundle status to bundles not included in the new import and leaving them as regular SKUs

A backup of the previous Bundle/SKU structured is generated before import, in case you need to restore it (prompted upon import, in step 4). When you choose to restore, the process rolls back the information to the previous state.

WARNING: Both the Parent and Child SKUs must be created before this process takes place. The Parent SKU is not created upon import.

To import product Bundles via file you will have to:

1. Click Products under Inventory

2. Click Maintenance and select Import Product Bundles from the dropdown list

3. Click on the Files field and Select the file

4. Press Import Product Bundles to complete the process

NOTE: You can download the canonical template file HERE, or export your current Product Bundles list as indicated HERE, to modify and reupload to update.
