techTRACK allows you to track (external) shipments and their associated events, even when packages are shipped outside of techSHIP.
To enable this functionality, you must manually add your Carrier Credentials within techTRACK, as they are not inherited from techSHIP. Once configured, these credentials allow external systems to create and track shipments via the techTRACK API.

- Check your user permissions in techTRACK User Permissions Structure [Information].
- Review supported carriers for this feature in techTRACK & techAUDIT Supported Carriers - Master List [Guides List].

D. TRACKING EXTERNAL SHIPMENTS
Once your Carrier Credentials are configured, external systems can create trackings in techTRACK using the Create Tracking endpoint. For more information on using techTRACK API, refer to: Getting started using techTRACK APIv2 [Information].
If no Carrier Credential is set as default, the carrierCredentialsCode parameter within the API request must be populated with the Code field of the Carrier Credential you need to use.
