When performing maintenance tasks, you may need to Delete an old or discontinued Product Variant.
WARNING: If techOMS is not set as your Account's Master Product Source, we recommend making changes directly in your Master Product Channel instead of using this procedure.Otherwise, be aware that changes made here:
- Will propagate to your non-master channels.
- Will not sync back to your designated Master Product Channel.
- May be overwritten during future synchronizations from the Master Product Channel.
Proceed with caution. For details, see: Understanding the techOMS Master Product Source [Information].
Deleting a Product Variant (including all related deletion logic) cannot be undone.
If you want to prevent a Product Variant from syncing or being used, consider disabling it instead. Learn how in: How to Enable or Disable a Product or Product Variant [Step-by-Step Guide].
NOTE: To delete Products instead of a Product Variant, refer to How to Delete Products [Step-by-Step guide].
NOTE: Make sure that you are operating at the right Vendor/Warehouse beforehand.
To delete a product variant you will have to:
1. Click Products under Inventory
2. Click the Variants tab to see the product variant list

3. Click the Delete button of the variant you wish to delete

4. Press OK to confirm the action

NOTE: You will not be able to delete the SKU Variant if it is the only one left, in that case, you should delete it as described in How to Delete a Product [Step-by-Step guide].Was this article helpful?
