When performing maintenance tasks, you may need to delete an old or discontinued Product. This can be done either individually or in bulk. In both cases, techOMS updates all related entities accordingly.
This article is divided into the following sections:
- Deletion Logic
- Product Deletion
- Single Product Deletion
- Bulk Product Deletion
- Deletion Result
WARNING: Deleting a Product (including all related deletion logic) cannot be undone. Products linked to Orders in Approved or Fulfilling status are not eligible for deletion.
If you want to prevent a Product from syncing or being used, consider disabling it instead. Learn how in: How to Enable or Disable a Product or Product Variant [Step-by-Step Guide].

I. DELETION LOGIC
When one or more Products are deleted, techOMS updates all related entities to maintain data consistency. These updates fall into the following categories:
Fully Deleted
Product Properties
Product References
Product Variants and their associated elements:
Alternatives
Bundle Parts
Product Variant References
Inventory Levels with the corresponding adjustments
SKU Mappings in Sales and Fulfillment Channels
Partially Preserved
NOTE: These elements are partially preserved for historical data purposes.
Order Lines: Affected order lines will no longer display the Product Variant Name, but the Product Name and SKU remain:
Sales Orders
Order Line
Shipments and their Package Lines
Purchase Orders
Order Line
Receipt Line
Execution Errors
Order Rules: If a rule references a deleted product, it remains editable but will fail at runtime, triggering an error.
NOTE: Common rule steps that may reference a deleted product include Condition, Add(s) Line Action, and Product Variant Substitution Action.
II. PRODUCT DELETION

ii. Bulk Product Deletion
