How to set up a Shopify Sales Channel [Step-by-step guide]

Modified on Fri, 11 Oct at 5:42 PM

To connect Shopify, you will have to, first, create the Channel Account, and then, set up the account connection as such.

Once the connection has been established between the system and techOMS, you will be able to push and update Sales Orders, get stock updates and synchronize inventory.

WARNING: For your connection to work, your Shopify plan must be Shopify or higher. Given the last changes within Shopify's plan structure, Basic does not support PII.

The process consists in two phases:

1) Create the channel from Shopify

2) Configure additional parameters from techOMS

NOTE: Make sure that you are operating at the right Vendor/Warehouse beforehand.

NOTE: Make sure that the Account has been properly created prior to setting up the Account. If you haven't set it up yet, do so as indicated in How to Add Accounts to an Organization [Step-by-step guide].

CREATE CHANNEL

To create the Sales Channel you will have to:

1. Access Shopify

2. Click Apps

3. Click App and sales channel settings

4. Press Uninstalled to filter the applications

5. Select techOMS from the list

6. Press Install

7. Confirm the action by clicking Install unlisted app

Once you have added it, you will be redirected to techOMS automatically; proceed to the following section.

9. Name the Channel so it can be properly identified afterwards

10. Press Save to complete the process
