Created Date/Time is after the first Delivery Tracking Update [Information]

Modified on Tue, 12 Mar 2024 at 12:42 PM

When reviewing Tracking Details, you will notice that the Created On date and time is latter than the first Delivery Tracking Number update.

As you can see, this tracking number has the following dates and times:

  • Created on: March 11th, 11:26 PM
  • Label Created: March 11th, 06:18 PM

That means that the Label was created several hours before the tracking was created in techTRACK:

There are several reasons for this to happen:

  1. The Created On date is in UTC timezone; When techTRACK receives trackings from techSHIP, the current server time in UTC is used, and set for Created On
  2. The Event time can be earlier than techTRACK's record creation; A carrier can record events before a tracking is created in techTRACK. A tracking can go to TechTrack after a carrier has first event
