How to manage Fulfillment Channels Advanced settings [Step-by-Step guide]

When setting up a Fulfillment Channel connection, you can manage Advanced Settings.


These can be added to already created Fulfillment Channels, and will be different depending on the Channel type. This article is as comprehensive as possible across them.


NOTE: Make sure that you are operating at the right Vendor/Warehouse beforehand.



NOTE: There could be slight differences on the available options depending on the channel type.



To do so, you will have to:


1) Press Channels under Fulfillment Channels


2) Press the Name of the connection to access the setup



3) Select Advanced Settings


4) Set/Use the parameters as required by the case you need to assess


A) Channel Settings 

  • Credentials (Webhook/API keys/tokens): Allows to update connection credentials

B) Order and Inventory Options


  • Backorder Mode and Allow Backorder Partial:
    • Manage in TechOMS and Allow Partial uncheckedtechOMS will check stock availability and

      if the goods are enough, it will send the full shipment to the WMS; if the goods are NOT enough, it will NOT send any shipment(s) to WMS

    • Manage in TechOMS and Allow Partial checked: techOMS will check stock availability and if the goods are enough, it will send the full shipment to the WMS; if the goods are NOT enough, then techOMS it will send the PARTIAL shipment to the WMS
    • Manage in Fulfillment Channel: techOMS will NOT check stock availability and will always send the FULL shipment to the WMS
  • Supress PII: If checked, suppresses passing PII
  • Reference Number Templates: Edit to name the template and choose the field related to it.

C) UOM (Unit of Measure)

  • Size: Switch to define the type of UOM you will use for dimensions

  • Weight: Switch to define the type of UOM you will use for weight 


D) API Validation Rules:

  • Sales Order: Switch to define the type of Status you want to set for Carrier and Service Code, if Warning or Error

  • Shipment: Switch to define the type of Status you want to set for Carrier and Service Code, if Warning or Error

  • Purchase Order: Switch to define the type of Status you want to set for Carrier and Service Code, if Warning or Error

  • Receipt: Switch to define the type of Status you want to set for Carrier and Service Code, if Warning or Error

 


5) Press Save to apply the changes
