Introducing Insights: Unlock Your Data with Dashboards in techSHIP 2025 [Guide]

Modified on Thu, 17 Jul at 3:10 PM

techSHIP 2025 introduces interactive dashboards in the new Insights section, offering powerful tools for shipment tracking, performance monitoring, and cost analysis. These dashboards help visualize key metrics across carriers, services, and destinations—enabling data-driven decision-making and supporting business intelligence initiatives.

They include on-the-fly filters that let you drill into data by parameters such as portal, client, carrier, service, and more.

NOTE: This feature requires a subscription higher than Standard, and Portal or Carrier Administrator permissions.

This article is divided into the following sections:

  1. Accessing a Dashboard
  2. Filtering Data
  3. Viewing Details
  4. Available Dashboards
    1. Shipment Profile
    2. Shipment Dashboard

I. ACCESSING A DASHBOARD

To access a dashboard:

1. Click Insights in the left menu to expand the category.

2. Click the desired dashboard name.

NOTE: The Shipment Profile dashboard is displayed by default upon login.

II. FILTERING DATA

Dashboards are dynamic, meaning the displayed data can be filtered on-the-fly to drill down into specific details.

NOTE: Depending on the amount of data, applying some filters may take a few moments to process. In this article, charts, maps, tables, and tiles are collectively referred to as datasets.

There are two ways to filter data on a dashboard:

A. Using embedded filters: Use the dropdowns, calendars, and other controls embedded in the dashboard to refine the displayed data.

NOTE: Available embedded filters vary by dashboard.

B. By clicking on a data representation: Click a country on the map or a bar in a chart to add that data subset to the filters already applied across all applicable datasets in the dashboard.

For example, clicking the Canada Post bar in the Packages by Carrier chart will update all datasets in the dashboard to display data related to Canada Post.

To remove an embedded or chart-triggered filter, click the corresponding filter icon with a strikethrough.

To view details of applied filters within a dataset, hover over the filter icon.

III. VIEWING DETAILS

When detailed information is available for a dataset, an expand icon appears when hovering over it. Click the icon to open a pop-up dialog with more details.

NOTE: Applied filters remain active in the details view.

You can switch between graphical and table views by clicking the table icon.

IV. AVAILABLE DASHBOARDS
